Knotd turns nonfiction books into 15-minute reads and listens. If you make videos about books, learning or self-improvement, we'll pay a flat fee per video, plus a monthly bonus when your link brings in installs.
How it works

Email us your handle and a video you're proud of. Any size is fine: we care about whether your audience reads.

Get your link
You get one link with your name in it. Put it in your bio or your captions. There's nothing to install or log in to.

Post, and get paid
Make videos in your own style about the books and ideas you like on Knotd. You get a flat fee per video, plus a monthly bonus when your link brings in installs.

One link that knows the phone

- On an iPhone or iPad, a tap goes straight to Knotd in the App Store. On Android, straight to Google Play.
- On a computer, it opens a small page with both store buttons and a QR code to scan with a phone.
- It works inside the TikTok, Instagram and Facebook in-app browsers, where most taps happen.
- We count taps on your link with no cookies. We record only the platform, the country and the site the tap came from, never who tapped.
Your pay
A flat fee, plus a monthly bonus
- Installs come from the App Store and Google Play reports for your link, added up once a month.
- Your bonus is the highest tier your installs reach that month, not the sum of every tier.
- We pay after the 3rd of each month for the month before, once the stores have settled.
- Your flat fee and the tiers are agreed with you before you post, in writing.
FAQ
Common questions
Do I need a big following?+
No. Any size is fine: smaller creators with an audience that actually reads often do better than big general accounts. Tell us about your audience when you apply.
What should I post?+
Whatever you'd post anyway about books, learning or self-improvement, with Knotd in it where it fits: a summary you listened to on the way to work, a book you'd recommend, a habit you're building. We don't send scripts.
Which platforms and languages?+
TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. We work with creators posting in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
How do you count installs?+
From the App Store and Google Play reports for your link. Apple counts a download that happens within 24 hours of a tap, and if someone taps two creators' links, the last one counts. Apple also only shows a number once it reaches 5, which is why bonus tiers don't start at one install.
Do I have to say it's sponsored?+
Yes. Mark paid posts as an ad or paid partnership using your platform's label, as the platforms and advertising rules require.
How much do you pay?+
It depends on the platform and the work, so we agree a flat fee per video with you before you post, and the bonus tiers with it. Email us and we'll send our current rates.
